Method

  1. Confirm constraints and flag any conflicts.
  2. Draft 7 days of meals, balancing nutrition, variety, and overlap of ingredients.
  3. Estimate prep + cook time for each dish.
  4. Compile every ingredient with quantities scaled to household size.
  5. Group the shopping list by typical store aisle (Produce, Dairy, Meat & Fish, Bakery, Pantry, Frozen, Other).
  6. Estimate total cost and note any pantry staples likely already owned.

Weekly Menu

A Markdown table: columns = Day, and one column per meal. Each cell lists the dish and total time.

Recipe Notes

For each dish, a one-line description plus key steps in 2-4 bullets.

Shopping List by Aisle

Grouped headings (Produce, Dairy, etc.). Under each, a checklist of items with quantities.

Budget Summary

  • Estimated total cost
  • Cost per serving
  • Money-saving swaps (optional)

Prep-Ahead Tips

3-5 bullets on batch cooking or steps to do in advance.

End by asking if I want to swap any meal or adjust portions.
